Gradings

Grading Examinations - You will be graded with other students of the same level, so don't feel nervous, you won't be on your own. You will have a pre-grading course to help you prepare and the instructor will guide you through your grading.  Instructions are in English for all of the lower grades. Your examiner will take notes and on completion of your grading you will be given your examination results, successful students will receive a belt and certificate.

Grading examinations take place each month on a Saturday so please check website events page regularly for dates and remember to book and pay for your grading at least one week before the examination date.

Junior Gradings

For young students attending numerous lessons each week, there is the potential to grade very quickly.
Senior black belts are not awarded to children under the age of 11 years due to a general lack of experience and knowledge of theory and application.  Students under the age of 10 years are therefore eligible (ability permitting) to take a Junior Black Belt. Students who take the Junior Black Belt may then
wish to continue their training at the senior level to attain the full Senior Black Belt.would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and students who supported the workshops in our efforts to attain higher standards.
