Mark Beeby 5th Dan

Institute of Martial Arts ProfessionalsMark’s interest in martial arts started when he was in his early teens, he actually started judo lessons with two friends in a local hall in Droitwich. This lasted for eight weeks, then the hall closed due to lack of numbers, even now a common occurrence. Mark was 27 before he returned to any type of martial arts, this time it was Wado-Ryu Karate-Do at the local sports centre. Mark initially signed up to train just to support his brother-in-law, who at the age of 19 and six feet two inches, felt he needed a little support as the average age of the beginners class was only 7 years of age. Mark fully intended on leaving after the first grading; twenty years later he is still training.

He was with his first sensei for 12 years, attending seminars with Tatsuo Suzuki Hanshi, Leon Jay, Pat McCarthy, Russell Stuteley and many others. Mark began training with Sensei Kuniaki Sakagami in 1998 and still continues to train on a regular basis.

Justine Wilson 2nd Dan

Justine began studying Wado Kai karate after initially joining to accompany her two young daughters through their training. Within weeks Justine was hooked and has hardly missed a days training since.

Since starting Justine has trained under the guidance of Sensei Mark Beeby and has received regulary additional training with England Kumite Coach Sensei Lee Minion 5th Dan and England Kata Coach Sensei Peter May 6th Dan. Justine also continues to train regularly with Sensei Kuniaki Sakagami 7th Dan.

In 2005, Justine along with her two children, travelled to Japan with the England Squad for the Wado Kai World Championships. See the gallery for pics.

Justine and Mark Sensei are committed to striving for excellent standards in the coaching of martial arts to children. The schools now have several students that are members of the England Squad and have an extremely formidable kata squad who train regularly at the Lyppard centre.

All our instructors are fully trained, insured, hold current first aid certificates and have been screened with enhanced CRB checks and are approved coaches for Worcester City Council.
