Mark Beeby 6th Dan Mark Beeby 6th Dan

Chief Instructor of Tobi Ishi Kai, English Wado Federation & International Wado Federation

Mark Beeby’s love of martial arts started over 30 years ago, trying his hand at Judo before becoming a student of Karate. His extensive career in martial arts has led him to train with and along side many of the familiar names of the karate world, gaining in depth knowledge and experience in other aspects such as body-mechanics and pressure points.

His tenacious nature has enabled him to succeed in developing a top ranking wado kata school, a reputation that is now spreading throughout not just the wado fraternity, but also the open competition circuit.

In late 2008, Mark along with Justine Wilson-Cleife and Ray Field founded the English Wado Federation. In less than a year EWF has grown beyond all expectations, with members throughout the country.

Head Coach Tobi Ishi Kai, Senior Kata coach English Wado Federation

Justine began her training of Wado karate as a student of Mark Beeby and K Sakagami Sensei. After travelling to Japan in 2005 with the Wadokai England squad for the Wadokai World Championships, Justine decided to turn professional and opened numerous classes in the Worcester area. The coaching and development of children through martial arts was of particular interest to Justine and after countless months of study and research Justine developed the curriculum for the award winning Tobi Tiger classes.

Justine, alongside Mark Beeby, became the recognised coach for Worcester City Council in 2008 and teaches karate to school children through the Sport Development Programme.  Justine’s abilities have led her to be highly respected as a leading kata coach for Wado and is the current Senior Kata coach for the Midland region of the English Wado Federation.

All our instructors are fully trained, insured, hold current first aid certificates, have been screened with enhanced CRB checks and are approved coaches for Worcester City Council. Volunteers are also screened with enhanced CRB disclosure.

Tobi Ishi Kai Karate Schools are members of: The English Karate Federation & English Wado Federation and adopt the EKF Child Protection Policy
